HoopaDoo Stacking Toy & Book Event

I got a call from Shimite from the company Mooshkiemoo, who needed a photographer to cover her fundraising event. Her aim is to have her children's toy, HoopaDoo manufactured in the UK. She decided to do this via a Kickstarter. Great Idea! A Kickstarter is a funding platform for

creative projects. In exchange for pledging to a campaign, the artist offers various rewards.

It was a family fun-day that showcased & introduced us to HoopaDoo.  There was lot's of activities for children: face painting, bubbles,

personalised badge making.  The event was well attended with a mix of bloggers, radio presenters, mums & dads.

I must say Shimite had a wonderful team of helpers who believe in her vision. She's a talented lady!

The day was a success. We all did the count-down as the launch also went live online. The product was great, as I witnessed the children happily playing with the toy and book. I wish her all the best in her business endeavours.

Tips for planning an event ~ Ensure your venue is accessible for your ideal client and that they have the facilities to deliver whatever services you require. So if you’re doing a seminar and require a screen find out if they have a projector or tv screen you can use and all the necessary leads as this could save you money. Physically visit the venue beforehand and don’t just go by the ‘lovely’ website pictures, leave nothing to chance! Get sponsorship or at least, look into it and see if there are any local businesses who’d be happy to pay for anything in return for you bigging them up in your marketing etc.

"To be honest, Lorraine at 'C More Vision Photography' was so discreet that most of the time I forgot she was there. I’m not someone who particularly likes having their picture taken so this made me feel comfortable and not pressurised. I loved the results and the pictures were spot on for what I needed. Lorraine managed to catch the exactly what I asked for on what was a very busy day". ~ Shimite
